What the call covers

Sarah is researching how IT teams at mid-market companies handle departures, before Northgate builds anything. The ask is for your workflow, not your endorsement.

What happens in the first hour after someone resigns

Which parts are automated, and which are still a checklist

This is not a sales call. The requester has committed in writing not to pitch, demo, or follow up with an offer. If they do, report the invite and we act on it, including refunding nothing to them and paying you anyway.

Before you accept

Your employer’s rules are yours to check

Some employers prohibit paid outside consultations outright, and some require disclosure. We cannot check that for you, and booking confirms you have.

You can send it to charity instead

Choose a donation at booking and the $100 goes to a registered charity in your name. Same call, nothing lands in your account, no tax form.

The terms, in full

When does the money arrive?: Within 24 hours of the booked end time. It releases on a timer. The requester does not press a button to approve it, and cannot withhold it because they did not enjoy the conversation.
What if the requester does not show up?: You are paid in full. You held the time; that was the deal. There is no claim available to them in that case.
What if you need to cancel?: Cancel or reschedule from your confirmation email any time before the call. Nothing is charged and nothing is held against you.
What if you join late or leave early?: Payout requires 18 minutes of attendance on a 30-minute booking. Below that, the requester can file a claim, which is decided against the join and leave times Zoom reports, not against their opinion of the call.
Who is paying you, and what do they need from you?: ReserveCall is the payer of record, and the money moves through Stripe. After the call, Stripe asks you directly for a bank account so it can send the money. Your account and tax details go to Stripe, not to us, and never to the person you spoke with. Nothing is asked of you before the call except a time.
What should you not discuss?: Anything your employer would mind: trade secrets, customer data, pricing files, financials. Your own opinions and workflow are the valuable part.

Booking confirms you have read the terms above, including the 18-minute attendance requirement, and that accepting a paid research call does not breach your employer’s policy.
